" We wanted young, energetic musicians that were not afraid to take creative chances, which would allow us to bring the fans into the moment with us." With that said, Brandon and Barry started their search. "When Barry and I heard Matt Wood and Travis Parsons play together, we knew we had to have them. They were the perfect match for what we were trying to accomplish," said Brandon, Lead singer. Barry said, "Austin Howey showed up all flashy and full of heart. We couldnt miss that in the mix." Brandon grew up in a little small town in Northeast Indiana called Monroeville. He is a HUGE sports fan and has a soft spot for Chicago Cubs baseball. Growing up, he was always exposed to the arts by his parents. " My parents have always been the driving force in my musical career. They've been there since i was kid learning how to play the organ and dealing with the headaches of me singing at the top of my lungs in the shower. Ya know, i always wondered why my dad went out to the garage to work on stuff everytime i took a shower and turned on the tunes...." Along with playing sports, Brandon also enjoyed his time in high school in the show choir. He had a role in the musical "Footloose" and that was when it happenend.... " After the musical, i just knew it. I knew that my passion was to be on a stage and entertaining people. Growing up, I was influenced by some of the best country artists of all time like Garth Brooks and King George. I figured, why not pursue this new found passion with my love for country music!" Fast forward to today, where you can find Brandon playing with Lincoln Highway. "It has been a dream come true. To be a part of this band means so much to me. God has blessed me beyond my years. I absolutely love playing with the Barry, Matt, Travis, and Austin. I really look forward to what the future may bring sharing a stage every night with some of my best friends."
Barry , lead guitarist, has a wide array of styles at his command to add to Lincoln Highway's style and texture department. A native of Indiana, Barry spent many years in Nashville playing, recording and writing with some highly regarded artists. "The call of our family brought us back, " Barry says with a smile. In addition to guitar, Barry also can fill in on bass, keys, drums, mandolin--even a saxophone or clarinet if you need it on your favorite country song!
